Starting 20 December 2025, Qantas will operate direct 3 x weekly flights from Sydney to Sapporo to the New Chitose Airport, just in time for the Japanese Ski Season!

Qantas will operate a two class (Business, Economy) Airbus A330. Flight QF107 will leave Sydney at 9am and arriving in Sapporo, Japan at approximately 6pm the same day.

Returning from Sapporo, the Qantas flight #QF108 will depart at 7:40pm, arriving into Sydney the next morning at approximately 11am.

This new direct services enables same-day travel to popular ski resorts Niseko, Furano, Rusutsu and Kiroro. Skiers will also be able to enjoy a morning on the slopes before departing for Sydney in the evening. 

The new Sapporo service marks the airline’s fourth route to Japan, complementing double daily flights from Sydney to Tokyo Haneda and daily services from Melbourne and Brisbane to Tokyo Narita. Qantas is the only airline that connects Australia’s three largest cities with Tokyo.  

• QF107 Sydney to Sapporo operates three times per week, departing on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
• Flight time is approximately 10 hours and 50 minutes.
• Qantas services between Sydney and Sapporo are operated by its fleet of Airbus A332 aircraft with 27 business class suites in 1-2-1 configuration, each featuring direct aisle access and converting into a lie-flat bed, and 228 economy seats.
• All Qantas international fares include checked baggage allowance, food and beverages and inflight entertainment with every booking.
