Types of Eurail Global Rail Passes

Eurail Passes are a flexible and stress-free way to travel Europe without worrying about excess luggage, finding your way from random tiny regional airports or being stuck in the middle seat because you didn’t want to pay the early boarding fee.

Instead, European trains offer high-speed networks, comfortable First Class and Premium Class cabins and cover 32 countries in Europe – including the Eurostar between London and Paris/Lille/Brussels/Amsterdam. Most major train stations are centrally located within the city and offer convenient connections to bus, metro/underground and regional rail networks.

There’s two types of Eurail Global passes available, Flexi or Consecutive to suite a range of travellers and trip durations.

Eurail Global Flexi Passes – These offer 4, 5, 7, 10 or 15 days of travel within 1 month or 2 month time-frame (depending upon the length of the pass). You can also choose between 1st or 2nd Class.

Eurail Global Consecutive Passes – These offer 15 days, 22 days, or 1, 2 or 3 months of consecutive days travel. Again you can choose between 1st or 2nd Class.

Which Eurail Rail Pass Should I Choose?

If you only plan on doing a couple of trips between major cities then the Flexi Pass should cover your rail needs. However if you aren’t sure where you’ll end up, have plenty of time and want the option to explore regional areas when you want – then the Consecutive Passes offer complete flexibility.

Wake up in Rome and decide you want to go to Zurich, but the train to Nice leaves sooner? Head to Nice instead! The Consecutive Pass allows you to travel on any day you like within the pass validity on most trains in Europe*.
