Qantas to Operate SYDNEY > PERTH > PARIS Flights in 2024

Qantas is set to introduce a new non-stop air service between Perth and Paris, beginning on July 12, 2024, coinciding with the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the European summer.
QF 33 will depart Sydney at 1:55pm, arriving into Paris the next morning at 6:55am (with approximately 2.5 hour transit in Perth).
QF 34 will return from Paris at 9:55am, arriving into Sydney at 4:05pm the next day (with approximately 1.5 hour transit in Perth).
The trip will take approximately 25 hours in one direction. All times are subject to change.
Initially, the service will run four times a week, utilizing Qantas’ Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, before transitioning to three times a week from mid-August 2024. This route is anticipated to significantly reduce travel time between Western Australia and Paris, benefitting not only regular travelers but also Australian athletes heading to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Vanessa Hudson, CEO of Qantas, expressed enthusiasm for this long-awaited route addition and believes it will resonate positively with customers. Furthermore, this new service complements Qantas’ existing Perth flights to London and Rome, effectively contributing over 75,000 additional seats for travel to and from Europe annually. Qantas aims to become the go-to airline for direct flights to Europe from Australia, emphasizing its commitment to servicing the Australian market.
In addition to this strategic expansion, Qantas is working in collaboration with WA Tourism to boost tourism to Western Australia, recognizing the pivotal role that direct flights play in travelers’ destination choices. The flights will operate out of Terminal 3 at Perth Airport, providing seamless connections to and from other Qantas domestic destinations. There are also ongoing negotiations with Perth Airport to potentially relocate Qantas operations to Terminal 1, signalling a promising development in the future.
