The Greenland Experience

Discover Greenland, in depth in a new unique experience including more time on shore, meeting locals and living the Greenlandic way.

The Arctic Umiaq line is a working supply ship servicing the needs of local inuits whilst offering a handful of comfortable cabins aimed at explorers.

Unlike a cruise ship, The complete Greenland Voyage combines the South- and North Greenland voyages over 14 day itinerary. This is regarded as a rare and limited opportunity to experience Greenland through a local passenger ship in newly refurbished junior suites.

The 14 day Greenland Experience itinerary offers pre-booked excursions and on-shore fjord overnights through local small businesses and is limited to just 12 Junior Suites (two people per suite) making it highly authentic and exclusive.

You will share your experience with up to 22 other voyage travellers, creating a special blended atmosphere in MS Sarfaq Ittuk where 9/10 passengers are Greenlanders.

Experience Greenland, as it should be – onshore, with locals, not just looking at it from the balcony of a luxury cruise ship.

Itinerary

Most cruise ship itineraries that visit Greenland, stop at two or three ports (which may get dropped depending on the weather and conditions) for a couple of hours before heading onto the next destination.

A cruise on the Arctic Umiaq line gets you exploring more destinations, meeting locals and experience the best that Greenland has to offer.

There’s several itinerary variants ranging from two days to two weeks – depending on your time frame.

For reference, we’ve included the itinerary for the full 14 Day Greenland Experience but if you’re wanting a shorter trip – just reach out and we can arrange that too.

The schedule below is a sample and is subject to change pending each season and forward bookings.

Some onshore excursions are still being tweaked and are also subject to change.
