Fly Sichuan Airlines from Australia to Chengdu, China and see pandas
Sichuan Airlines is resuming direct flights out of Australia from Sydney to Chengdu, in Sichuan Provence, and onwards domestically within China, Asia and other destinations in Europe and the Middle East.
Starting from 30 October 2023, Sichuan Airlines will begin 3 x weekly services between Australia and China and that will increase to 5 x weekly services from late November.
The flight will leave Sydney in the evening and arrive the next morning – just in time to head straight to the Chengdu Panda Reserve and see the baby panda’s at their most active.

Flying Sichuan Airlines direct from Sydney to Chengdu, means you can bypass Shanghai or Beijing and head straight to the beautiful countryside of Western China. From Chengdu, you could take a train (3-4 hours) or another flight (1.5 hours) to Xi’an and see the terracotta warriors which we can also arrange for you.
Sichuan Airlines uses Airbus A330’s between Australia and Chengdu and is a full service airline which includes checked baggage, in-flight meals and inflight entertainment.
